The tour has attracted students from Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti and Detroit and will take place Friday on the University of Michigan Campus.
Alexander said she recognizes that bringing students to the campus of The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor who have substandard GPAs or extra-curricular credentials might seem like it’s sending a contradictory message.
“We know that most of these students would not be accepted as freshman to U-M,” she said. “We just want to demystify getting into college and to help correct some of the misperceptions they might have about what going to college entails.”
